Clapham Common

Residential extension, remodelling and refurbishment of Edwardian house in Clapham Common.

Project Overview

Client Brief: The client desired a complete re-desesign on an Edwardian house on a narrow plot.  The client wanted to extend and remodel internally to create an open plan living space leading to the garden.

Property: 4 Bedroom Edwardian house with basement.

Solution: Our solution was to add a rear infill extension on the narrow and complex site to create open family orientated space benefiting from views of the garden.

Key Features:  The glass facade extension is completely integrated with the existing Edwardian 2 storey building; transforming the overall layout, bringing much needed additional space, flooding the ground floor with natural light and brings into the house the views of the beautifully designed garden.

The boxed slot glazing running along the side elevation – brings a very modern and exciting element to the design.
